Lex’ studied modern history in Amsterdam and wrote a science fiction thriller called THE DECA TAPES while working as a brand planner. He turned THE DECA TAPES into an audio drama podcast, recording and scoring it in his bedroom. The show won multiple awards - amongst which a Lovie for Best fiction - and was nominated for a Webby Best Scripted Podcast. And it landed him a book deal with AWBruna for three.

He worked for three years on his debut thriller THE MAN WITH A THOUSAND FACES, and published it in the Netherlands where it was received with critical acclaim. In 2025 the English edition will be published in the UK by Orion. In conjuncture with the book, Lex also created his first Dutch audio drama podcast THE WOMAN WITH A THOUSAND FACES. Both stories reflect two perspectives on the same war.

Apart from writing fiction, Lex is also a brand planner
helping companies position and define their brand
and communication strategy.
